Since, in 1976, Editrice Kurtis first stepped into the medical-scientific publishing world, the company has always worked with the most prominent and qualified scientists and opinion leaders, and, thanks to the high quality of its publications, has become a well regarded and respected source of medical information.

In 1978, the company starts the publication of the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, official journal of the Italian Society of Endocrinology, which currently includes clinical and experimental papers in the field of endocrinology and related areas.

In the late ’80s, Editrice Kurtis comes out with Aging Clinical and Experimental Research, a journal offering a multidisciplinary debate in the areas of gerontology and geriatrics.

Nearly all publications by Editrice Kurtis are indexed in the major scientific literature databases and have been recognized as having “high cultural value” by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

In addition, papers are thoroughly reviewed by major experts in the fields, so to ensure constant high quality of contents.

Even though Editrice Kurtis publishes journals mainly targeted on medical specialists, it has also decided to look at general practitioners and general medicine physicians through Aggiornamento Medico, a highly appreciated publication covering internal medicine, surgery issues as well as social medicine and other areas.

More recent publications are Eating and Weight Disorders, a journal standing out as a lively international forum on eating disorders obesity and the relations between these two areas, and l’Endocrinologo, official Italian journal of the Italian Society of Endocrinology, covering endocrinology and metabolic diseases.

The Journal of Sports Traumatology (started in the early ’80s) was resumed in 2010 with a new Editorial Board and a new lay-out.

Finally, the company also pays special attention to the pharmaceutical sector and strives to stand as the preferred means of communication between medical academia and the industry.
