GENERAL INFORMATION

The Journal of Endocrinological Investigation publishes clinical and experimental studies in endocrinology and related fields. Original studies, review articles, comments, brief communications, letters to the Editor and brief reviews are accepted for publication. A special section called “Rapid Communications” has been introduced presenting absolutely novel findings of particular relevance and interest for the scientific community. Manuscripts are examined by the Editorial Board and evaluated by at least two referees. The journal has recently implemented a new service for Authors and Readers by devoting a new section of the web site (www.jendocrinolinvest.it) to “Previews” in order to make papers accessible online upon acceptance of the manuscript, that is to say months before the final versions are published. This “Previews” section allows readers to visit and cite the accepted papers by a DOI number that identifies every article also in its printed final version. It is reviewed by Current Contents, Index Medicus, Excerpta Medica, BIOSIS and Chemical Abstracts.

“Journal of Endocrinological Investigation” has been recognized as having “high cultural value” by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage
